Try before you buy – acting partnership in a holiday destination.

If you’ve been curious to see what partnership is all about without making the commitment to take on your own, then why not opt for a working holiday to see what all the fuss is about?

We are looking for an ambitious, customer-focused audiologist or audiometrist to become our acting audiology partner for a 13-month fixed term contract at Specsavers Townsville Castletown. This role will start in January 2026 in ideally a full-time capacity supporting the needs of the customers Monday – Friday per week. However, if flexibility is something you value, we’re willing to take on a clinician looking for part-time hours too.

The role of acting audiology partner provides you with a unique opportunity to fully immerse yourself in the Specsavers model, taking care of an established location and fulfilling the role of a Specsavers Audiology partner. It’s a great first step to experience the benefits of running your own business.

Why take up this opportunity?

  • Make the move with our fantastic relocation package of up to $5,000 to help you set up in your new location
    • $105,000 – $110,000 base salary + super
    • $15,000 fixed bonus
    • Up to $5,000 in relocation support
    • Additional performance bonus
  • With Specsavers, you can continue to do the job you love while enjoying the flexibility and autonomy of managing your own schedule.
  • A comprehensive 2.5-week Specsavers clinical standards and business management induction program, plus ongoing assistance from the Specsavers Audiology retail team and support office.
  • Step into a sound treated room with a booth and all the equipment that you need at your fingertips.
  • Flexibility within the Specsavers framework to make day to day operational decisions.

Requirements:

  • Hold or be eligible to hold a qualified practitioner number as a full member of the appropriate professional body (Audiology Australia or The Australian College of Audiology incorporating the Hearing Aid Audiology Society of Australia).
  • Two years clinical experience post obtaining QP.
  • A high level of interpersonal skills and communication skills with the ability to build strategic working relationships.
  • Ability to lead and work collaboratively to achieve desired business outcomes.
  • And finally, you must want to challenge and help shape the industry for the better, with a formula based on clinical excellence, open and transparent pricing, and excellent products at value-for-money pricing.

Specsavers perks:

  • Access to Specsavers Perks staff discount program.
  • 30% off glasses voucher for family and friends each year.
  • Two free pairs of glasses.
  • Employee Assistance Program available for a stable and healthy future.

Specsavers has successfully achieved the ‘Great Place to Work’ accreditation. We strive for the highest professional and clinical standards and provide unrivalled support, development and career plans.

For a confidential discussion about this opportunity, contact Shelley Fenech, Professional Recruitment Consultant on 0457 627 521 or anz.audiologyrecruitment@specsavers.com.
