Applications open on Tuesday 2 July 2024 for The Passe & Williams Foundation’s 2025 financial year award round for grants in otolaryngology head and neck surgery and biomedical science.
The charitable foundation improves peoples’ lives by advancing ear, nose and throat research, surgery and care.
It does this by empowering researchers and clinical practitioners to solve real-world problems by providing funds, resources and support to people and projects in Australia and New Zealand. It has donated nearly $70 million over the past three decades to enable this.
The foundation offers awards and grants to scientists and clinical practitioners in otolaryngology head and neck surgery, supporting career pathways and promoting development of related products and technologies.
The organisation has committed $69.3 million including more than $28.5 million to fellowships and scholarships, over $34 million to research grants and more than $6.8 million to the establishment of clinical research chairs.
The foundation states, on its website, that, “it is likely that no other medical research foundation in Australia has made such an investment in a single field, nor had such a profound impact”.
