As the team leader logistics at Starkey Australia, you will be responsible for leading a team of logistics team members to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of products to our customers.
This full-time role is based in our Alexandria, NSW facility and will involve overseeing the day-to-day operations of our logistics department.
What you’ll be doing
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the logistics team, ensuring all tasks are completed to a high standard and on time.
- Develop and implement logistics rosters, plans and procedures to optimise workflow and meet delivery targets.
- Monitor inventory levels and work with the warehouse team to maintain appropriate stock levels.
- Liaise with other department and suppliers to address any delivery-related issues or queries.
- Provide training and development opportunities for the logistics team to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency.
- Ensure all logistics activities comply with relevant regulations and company policies.
What we’re looking for
- Three to five years’ experience in a logistics or supply chain management role, preferably within the health industry.
- Proven track record of leading and motivating a team to achieve operational goals.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to think strategically.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with customers, suppliers and cross-functional teams.
- very strong attention to detail abilities.
- Proficient in using logistics management software and technology.
- Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and best practices.
- Tertiary qualification in logistics, supply chain management or a related field is desirable
