Starkey and MED-EL are inviting hearing practitioners to a webinar on 21 October 2025 to explore how bimodal patients can hear better using DualSync Technology.
The companies have partnered to offer bimodal Bluetooth streaming with DualSync for people who use both a cochlear implant and a hearing aid.
For those who have a MED-EL cochlear implant and wear a MED-EL SONNET 3, SONNET 2, SONNET or RONDO 3 audio processor on one side, and a Starkey Edge AI or Genesis AI hearing aid on the other, Apple devices will recognise them as a pair for a streamlined bimodal streaming experience.
The partnership enables Apple technology to seamlessly stream to both hearing devices.

“DualSync is a new level of synchrony for bimodal hearing,” Starkey and MED-EL said. “Participants will discover how cochlear implants and hearing aids can now work in harmony to deliver clearer, more natural sound.
“This patient-first innovation is reshaping bimodal hearing with synchronised sound and effortless connectivity.”
The solution is designed to support a growing ecosystem of devices and will be compatible with future innovations from both companies.

The one-hour webinar on 21 October 2025 will include expert insights, live demonstrations and real-world case studies.
Presenters will be Dr Judy Grobstein, and Mr Benedikt Bernwieser, clinical engineer, MED-EL Australasia.

The endorsed event attracts one CPD point in category 1.2 from Audiology Australia and 1.5 points from ACAud inc. HAASA including a quiz.
A recording will be available after the live event, and it is endorsed until 20 April 2026.
The webinar will be on 21 October from 1pm to 2pm AEDT (Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Hobart), 10am AWST (Perth), 12pm AEST (Brisbane), 12:30pm ACDT (Adelaide), and 3pm NZDT (New Zealand).
Register here. Registrations close on 21 October 2025.
