Specsavers Audiology has announced a series of leadership enhancements which it said was designed to strengthen its clinical, professional and retail foundations, ensuring the organisation was well placed to continue supporting its audiology professionals and the communities they serve.

As a Best Place to Work, Specsavers said it maintained a strong focus on supporting clinicians and improving accessibility and affordability to change lives through better hearing.

Mr Tom Craw, managing director – Audiology ANZ, said: “These changes recognise individuals who have played a significant role in building the audiology business we have today.

“More importantly, they ensure we are prepared to meet future demand and continue improving access to hearing care.

“As the network continues to grow, so too does the need for strong clinical governance, consistent professional frameworks and leadership that can support practitioners at every stage of care delivery.”

Strengthening professional and clinical excellence

Audiologist Mr Nick Taylor has been appointed director of professional services – Audiology ANZ, responsible for clinical excellence, professional standards and industry engagement.  Specsavers said his expanded remit ensures that clinical frameworks remain strong, consistent and future‑ready as more customers access hearing care through Specsavers.

Audiologist Ms Kathryn Launchbury has been promoted to head of professional services – Audiology ANZ, supporting clinicians across Australia and New Zealand so they can focus on delivering effective, person‑centred hearing care.

Ms Alison Jackson, also an audiologist, has been appointed head of clinical performance – Audiology ANZ, strengthening the organisation’s focus on clinical outcomes and continuous improvement delivering an exceptional customer experience at scale.

Enhancing product and technology expertise

The audiology product portfolio has been consolidated under a newly created role, with Mr Ben Scales appointed director of trading – Audiology ANZ. Specsavers said this shift enabled a more strategic approach to product development, pricing and supplier partnerships.

Supporting this evolution, audiologist Ms Kelsie Bailey has been promoted to head of product – Audiology ANZ, providing dedicated leadership as product ranges expand and technology continues to evolve.

Expanding retail leadership

Mr Peter Berry has been appointed head of audiology retail, Australia, strengthening support across the growing store network and ensuring teams are equipped to deliver consistent, high‑quality customer experiences.

“While the changes involve internal promotions, the intent is external – better access, better outcomes and better experiences for customers,” Craw said.

“Over recent years, Specsavers Audiology has helped reshape how Australians and New Zealanders engage with hearing care, reaching people who may otherwise have delayed or avoided seeking support.

“As we look to the future, we’ll continue to strengthen all aspects of the business to ensure more people can access the hearing services and products they need, when they need them.”
