ALICIA LITTLEDYKE NABS SENIOR ROLE AT HEARING SA
Ms Alicia Littledyke has started a new role as a senior audiologist for Hearing SA based in its Unley clinic. She is working with adults doing hearing tests, fitting hearing aids, providing specialist hearing devices and cerumen removal. After graduating from Flinders University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Medical Science and a Master’s in Audiology, Littledyke worked for Hearing Australia for 10 years. She then worked for Bloom Hearing for just under two years. She is known for her dedication to new hearing technologies and brings her expertise in diagnostics, treatment and patient care to this new chapter with a team who shares her commitment to innovation and patient-centred care.
LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT ROLE FOR TANIA STERN
Ms Tania Stern has started a new role as learning and organisational development business partner with Demant. She brings 22 years of audiological, sales and operations experience and will facilitate the leadership development curriculum and support PD and continuous learning of employees. After working as a paediatric audiologist at Australia Hearing, she started her career at Demant as a sales rep and product trainer for Oticon AU. She then worked in Switzerland for 12 years as a product development audiologist for Bernafon. Returning to Australia she started with Audika – Demant’s retail arm – as a clinical trainer then a group sales and business performance trainer.
NEW PAEDIATRIC AUDIOLOGIST APPOINTED FOR EARBUS
Ms Shashikala Ranasinghe has recently started a new role as a paediatric audiologist at the Earbus Foundation of Western Australia. In this position, she is responsible for assessing and managing hearing disorders in children. A clinical audiologist with expertise in diagnostics and rehabilitation, she completed her studies at the University of Kelaniya in Sri Lanka. Ranasinghe has extensive experience in the field, having worked for four years as an audiologist at Medcon Hearing Care Centre in Sri Lanka. She then spent six years as a clinical audiologist at Vision Care Hearing Solutions in the Western Province. Additionally, she served as a visiting clinical audiologist at Lanka Medical Audio.
HEARING AUSTRALIA ROLE FOR LISA IN COUNTRY VICTORIA
Ms Lisa Ward started training at Hearing Australia in Melbourne in January 2024 and began working at its Shepparton clinic in March. Her role is to provide hearing services to adult clients in the Shepparton region. This includes audiological assessments and fittings of hearing aids and assistive listening devices. She also supports clients through their rehabilitation programs so they can meet their communication goals and connect to those around them. The team also services regional visiting sites. Ward is training to see paediatric and complex needs cases in the future. She graduated with a Master of Clinical Audiology from The University of Melbourne in 2023.
PROVISIONAL AUDIOLOGIST STARTS WORK IN SHEPPARTON
Ms Terri Ly has started work at Hearing Australia in Shepparton, country Victoria, as a provisional audiologist. She started in March 2024 after graduating in audiology from The University of Melbourne in 2023. Her role includes working with adults to do diagnostic hearing tests and provide rehabilitation services. She is also training to see paediatric and complex needs cases.
A DECADE OF EXPERIENCE FOR IMPLANT TECHNICIAN
Mr Jimmy Bank is the new implant technician at Ear Science Institute Australia in Perth. He brings more than a decade of experience to his work including over 10 years working in the hearing industry. Bank previously worked for Newsound Hearing focusing on hearing devices and technologies.
