Audiology Australia has announced new wellbeing member benefits due to demand that aim to help its audiologist members navigate personal and professional challenges in the workplace.
It will deliver a series of free webinars in 2026 in partnership with not-for-profit organisation Relationship Matters to help audiologists build their confidence at specific stages of their career, including as an early career audiologist or if they take parental leave.
Members can also access MindWell Studio, an online hub which provides practical resources and support in areas including mental health and wellbeing, managing stress and avoiding burnout, and how to build resilience in demanding work environments.
Audiology Australia’s member benefits partner HR Advice Online delivers the hub.
Ms Leanne Emerson, Audiology Australia CEO, said supporting members remained central to the organisation’s focus, including investigating new services that reflected what members were asking for.
“Our membership team communicates with our members daily,” she said. “These past few years, we have received consistent feedback from members wanting a support service during times of stress, such as when navigating a career transition.
“We also want to support members to build confidence and skills to apply in their professional and personal life across different stages of their career.
“These services, in addition to established member benefits including with Member Advantage, HR Advice Online, Austbrokers Countrywide and the International Society of Audiology, substantial advocacy efforts such as through the current regulation process, and a compelling CPD program, reflect our commitment to supporting audiologists’ interests and helping to deliver the highest standards of hearing health care across Australia.”
Webinar topics
Emerson said the webinars, offered free to members, reflect Audiology Australia’s proactive and responsive approach to meeting the evolving needs of its membership.
“Working with Relationship Matters, we are planning at least three webinars on topics including navigating parental leave and return to work, supporting early career audiologists, and professional boundaries and communication,” she told HPA.
She said HR Advice Online, who already provide members with free online HR advice, launched MindWell Studio in May 2025, but this was the first time that Audiology Australia members would be able to access the studio for free as part of their membership.
“The studio is an online training hub available to members 24/7, with practical resources including downloadable checklists with helpful reminders and educational videos on wellbeing topics, personal development, and professional development,” Emerson said.
