The 2026 Australian Allied Health Awards will, for the first time since their inception, include an Audiologist of the Year category after strong nomination numbers.

There is still time to nominate, with entries closing on Sunday 31 May 2026.

Audiology Australia (AudA) is sponsoring the awards to offer the category.

Leanne Emerson, AudA CEO, said: “Audiology Australia is proud to sponsor the 2026 Allied Health Awards to offer the Audiologist of the Year category, which celebrates clinicians who are advancing hearing care through leadership, innovation, and exceptional client outcomes.

“Audiologists may be nominated by anyone – including their peers, members of the public, or themselves via self-nomination.

“This is an exceptional opportunity for an audiologist who is looking to develop their leadership skills, enhance their public presence and expand their résumé.”

The Allied Health Awards celebrate the passion, dedication and impact of allied health professionals and the wider community that supports, champions and elevates the industry, according to the award website.

Emerson said: “If you know of, or believe you are, the Audiologist of the Year, we encourage you to nominate. Nominations are based on several criteria including the audiologist’s impact on patients, clients, and communities, and measurable outcomes or results.

‘Audiology Australia is committed to strengthening audiology as a profession, which includes opportunities to help profile the amazing work that our audiologists do in their communities on a daily basis.

“We look forward to hearing about your nominations.

‘If there are any other initiatives that you believe Audiology Australia should contribute to, to better support you in your role and to raise further awareness of audiology among the wider Australian public, don’t forget that you can always get in touch with us.”

Apart from the audiology award, there are also general and team allied health award categories.

Read the criteria, and more information about the awards.

It costs $110 including GST to nominate for the awards. A gala presentation will be in Adelaide. Nominations close 31 May 2026. Nominate here.
