Hearing Australia has been voted Reader’s Digest’s Most Trusted Hearing Services provider for 2026.
The organisation said it had won the title six years in a row from 2021 to 2026 and was the only provider who had won this category since its inception.
The annual Reader’s Digest Trusted Brands Awards are based on consumer feedback.
Hearing Australia’s managing director, Kim Terrell said the recognition was a powerful endorsement of Hearing Australia’s long-standing commitment to professional, evidence-based hearing care for people of all ages and backgrounds, no matter where they live.
“Being recognised as Australia’s most trusted hearing services provider for the sixth year in a row is something we’re incredibly proud of,” he said in a media release.
Now in its 27th year, the awards continue to honour the products and services that Australians trust most.
Specavers Audiology and Amplifon were also highly commended in the 2026 hearing services award.
The selection process for the awards, which are in their 27th year, is conducted with independence and transparency. With no commercial influence or advertiser involvement, Hearing Australia said it believed the awards provided a credible measure of public trust.
“This ensures that each recognised brand has been chosen solely by consumers, based on their personal experiences and perceptions and it’s this rigour that makes the award so meaningful to Hearing Australia,” the organisation said.

Terrell added: “Trust matters deeply in healthcare, particularly when you’re supporting people at very personal moments in their lives, from diagnosing hearing loss in young children through to helping older Australians stay connected, independent and engaged.”
Life-changing
Hearing Australia client Chris Pappas said he knew someone at Hearing Australia so that was his first introduction but after he did some research, he found it had a strong reputation.
“Having a hearing aid fitted was life-changing. It was a revelation just how many subtle sounds I had been missing out on,” Pappas said.
“Improved hearing has been of benefit in my professional life but most of all I have noticed it with my family and friends.
“As to the advice I would give to others who might be worried about their hearing, I would say, ‘Just do it!’ The test is so easy and having your hearing restored really is life changing. I feel like my hearing probably hasn’t been this good since I was in my 20s, and it is a great feeling.”
Hearing Australia has provided hearing care to Australians since 1947 including babies, children, adults and seniors living with hearing loss in metropolitan, rural and remote areas.
“Services that improve hearing can be life changing and at Hearing Australia, we have the privilege of being the first port of call for many people on their journey to address hearing loss. This award is a great reflection of the hard work our people put in every day to deliver expert hearing care,” Terrell said.
“Hearing loss isn’t just about missing words; it’s about staying connected, and it’s also linked to a range of poor health and cognitive outcomes, so Hearing Australia takes its role in raising awareness very seriously.”
He said people worried about their hearing, or the hearing of a loved one, could book a free 15-minute adult hearing check at one of its hearing centres.
