Hearing Business Alliance (HBA) will run a one-day seminar in Perth in July based on transforming small business models.
The seminar on 23 July 2025 at Perth Mercure is part of the alliance’s Innovate to elevate theme.
Ms Jane MacDonald, HBA CEO, said small business owners, practice managers and key clinical team members would gain valuable business insights from attending.
“For the last two years we’ve held our popular one-day seminar in Perth, and we’re excited to return this year,” she said.
Speakers and topics include:
- Dr Pádraig Kitterick, Head of Audiological Science at the National Acoustic Laboratories, who will discuss NAL-NL3, the next generation hearing aid fitting system.
- Mr Daniel Fechner and Mr Christo Fourie will introduce AudZone, the first Australian AI platform for audiology clinics.
- Mr Daniel Fechner, director and audiometrist from Ear Studio, will also discuss the value of data modern CRM (customer relationship management) systems for business management.
- Mr Chris Carlile, assistant secretary, Hearing Services Branch, Department of Health and Aged Care will give an update on the Hearing Services Program.
- Ms Belinda McLean, general manager of HR Focus, will discuss navigating employment laws including key Australian legislation, compliance essentials, and avoiding legal pitfalls.
- Mr Steven Le, consumer support specialist and trainer, Starkey, will give the major sponsor update on pushing the edge of possibility.
- Mr Stephen Logan, HBA business manager, who will give the opening address on unlocking knowledge.
- Ms Jane MacDonald, HBA CEO, who will discuss key HBA activities, strategic insights and give a small business update.
Sessions will go from 9am to 5pm and be followed by drinks and canapes.
Cost is $195 plus GST for HBA members or $350 plus GST for non-HBA members.
There are six endorsed CEP points for ACAud inc HAASA and six endorsed CPD points for AudA in category 1.1.
