Audiologists seeking last minute CPD have until this Sunday 30 June 2024 to access post-event recordings of a business bootcamp run by Independent Audiologists Australia this year.
Local and international speakers spoke in ‘start strong’ and ‘level up’ streams at the half day online event on 19 January 2024.
Start strong aims to help new or prospective independent audiologists get off the ground and includes expert guidance on business planning, goal setting, assembling a team, confidently handling billing and reimbursement and tackling the first steps on the journey to independent practice.
Other topics include how over the counter ear care products can help your business and lessons from established clinic owners looking back at their first year in business.
Level up serves established clinic owners with a focus on business efficiencies and expansion, establishing and strengthening a cochlear implant program, fostering a culturally safe workplace and considerations when buying or selling a business.
“The feedback from this fantastic event has been overwhelmingly positive for our speakers,” IAA’s executive officer Ms Julie Watts said. “One registrant commented, ‘it was the best presentation on managing an audiology clinic that I have seen,’ regarding international guest Karri Keifat’s ‘3 P’s to private practice expansion’ session.”
The talks are open to all audiologists but IAA members and subscribers have discounted access. Both streams offer four endorsed CPD points each in category 1.2 for Audiology Australia members and up to three endorsed CPD points per stream for Australian College of Audiology members.
